About Me
I am a full stack engineer with a decade+ of experience as a software consultant in a wide range of industries. I've aided clients in local government, healthcare, education, and online retail/E-commerce while working at various different consulting agencies. I now operate as an independent custom software consultant, as a direct contract or through the resources of my consultancy: Beitzah Tech Solutions. Here are a few of my favorites. Both professional and personal.
Lou Malnati's Pizzeria | eCommerce Restaurant
I developed a scalable full-stack web application for Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, a beloved national pizza chain, to handle their online orders. Their distinctive order process and data structure presented a unique challenge, making a custom solution essential – white-label options simply wouldn't work. I built a robust platform to provide Lou Malnati's customers with a smooth and reliable online ordering experience.

Guardian Browser
With a very small team, I developed Guardian Browser from the ground up, a custom, Chromium-based web browser specifically engineered for ProctorU's online proctoring services. This browser, utilized by test-takers across diverse industries and hundreds of universities, seamlessly integrates with leading Learning Management Systems (LMS) to automate test initiation. Guardian Browser is responsible for secure media streaming, comprehensive system and hardware monitoring, and real-time alerting of remote proctors regarding potential security violations, ensuring a secure and reliable testing environment.

Textualize
Textualize is a desktop application I developed to automate the digitization and translation of physical text documents. Built using Wails (a Golang and Typescript platform), Textualize streamlines the process of converting scanned pages into editable and searchable text, supporting multiple languages through integrated translation capabilities. The application features a project management interface for organizing documents, correcting OCR errors, and maintaining translation consistency across large volumes.

Midrashim | Private Community Library Platform
Midrashim is a private library management system designed to serve the unique needs of Temple Beth El (TBE) of Birmingham. This application provides a comprehensive solution for managing a library of thousands of books, including robust features for tracking inventory, facilitating lending, and supporting member engagement. A key aspect of Midrashim is its collaborative structure, allowing individual members to create and manage their own book repositories, enabling a broader sharing of resources within the TBE community. Built with PayloadCMS, Midrashim provides a secure and efficient platform for both institutional and individual book lending.

dataLovelace
dataLovelace is a SQL Database Administration tool under development for Beitzah Tech Solutions. This project aims to provide a visual query building interface that uniquely supports existing SQL strings, recognizing that SQL statements are first-class data. dataLovelace’s core functionality revolves around tokenizing and parsing SQL strings into structured data for use by other systems. My primary responsibility is building the core SQL parsing and tokenization engine using Go. This involves creating a robust system for analyzing SQL strings and transforming them into structured data representations, with a particular focus on handling complex syntax and a wide range of SQL dialects.
Follow My Open Work
I recently moved away from using GitHub, or any other git hosting provider, for my personal and professional work (if client demands allow) and decided to host my own instance. If you are curious, below are my recent commits to my open source work. Feel free to check it out!
